Manel Sarasa
Chief Executive Officer

Manel comes to Openbravo following seven years with DiamondCluster International where, as a Senior Principal, he led the successful launch of eight businesses in various countries and consulted leading telecom players in the areas of overall strategy, marketing & sales, customer service and overall turnaround programs. Prior to DiamondCluster, Manel worked at Andersen Consulting (now known as Accenture).
Manel has a BS in Engineering and Industrial Organization from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and did his postgraduate studies at London School of Economics.

Ismael Ciordia
Chief Technology Officer

Ismael was one of the original founding members of Tecnicia in 2001. Prior to that, he worked for the University of Navarra as a software engineer, leading development projects. In his "spare time", he is a lecturer of Software Engineering at the Engineering School of San Sebastián.
Ismael has a BS in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad del Pais Vasco (UPV) and is a PhD Engineering candidate at the University of Navarra.

Paolo Juvara
Chief Products Officer

Prior to joining Openbravo, Paolo was based in Redwood Shores, California, working for Oracle Corporation for over fourteen years in applications development. Most recently he was a Senior Director leading the development of the Service product line. He also held a broad range of development and management roles within Oracle's Applications business, including positions in the Financials, Supply Chain Management, CRM and Business Intelligence development teams.
Paolo also worked in Paris, France, as part of Oracle's Globalization team.
Originally Italian, Paolo graduated from Politecnico di Milano with a degree in Electronic Engineering and a specialization in Software Engineering.

Josep Mitjà
Chief Operating Officer

Prior to joining Openbravo, Josep was a principal with DiamondCluster International, where he worked in more than 10 countries across 3 continents advising senior executives in the high tech industry. In the start of his career, he worked for BASF in Germany and Spain.
Josep holds an MBA from IESE in Barcelona, and from MIT Sloan School of Management in Boston. Previously he graduated in Telecommunications Engineering in the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC).
Josep also serves on the board on the Open Solutions Alliance, an international organization that aims to promote the use of open source in the enterprise and facilitate the interoperability among the leading open solutions.

Marco de Vries
Chief Financial Officer

Prior to Openbravo, Marco was a key executive for GEC, the leading Spanish integrated solutions provider in the e-learning and corporate learning space. He played an important role in the rapid growth and road to profitability of this company. Marco has also worked as a management consultant for top-tier consulting firms A.T. Kearney and DiamondCluster International where he was involved in the launch of various mobile telephony businesses throughout Europe.
Marco holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Erasmus University (Rotterdam, Netherlands) and a CEMS-Master from an exchange with the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Comerciales (Paris, France).

Nicolás Serrano
Chief Technological Strategist

Previous to launching Tecnicia in 2001, Nicolás worked two decades in IT. He worked on important IT projects for businesses and organizations and, even now, continues to pass on his wisdom as lecturer at the University of Navarra.
Nicolás received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Navarra and an MBA from Deusto in San Sebastian.

Eugeni Vives
Chief Consulting Officer

He has more than 10 years of experience in IT Consulting and ERP implementation projects. He joined Openbravo from everis (formerly DMR Consulting), where he served most recently as Senior Manager, responsible for the ERP Business Unit in Barcelona, leading a team of 50 consultants. Earlier in his career he worked for Capgemini, where he served three years as SAP Project Manager and Senior Consultant.
Eugeni holds a BS in Telecommunication Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, in Barcelona, Spain. He also is an SAP Application Certified Consultant.

Moncho Aguinaga
Consulting Director

Prior to coming to Openbravo, Moncho was an external consultant, specializing in innovative technologies. For the last seven years, Moncho has been a professor of Information Systems at the University of Navarra, collaborating with IESE.
Moncho has a BA in Business and Management from the University of Navarra.

Jordi Mas
Community Director

He has been a free software contributor since 2002 when he started collaborating with the Abiword open source project. Nowadays, he is an active contributor to GNOME, Abiword and Mono. He has written many articles about technology as well as two books: "Free Software: technically viable, economically sustainable, socially just" and "Free Software and enterprise in Catalonia. Success cases". He also co-authored the book "Software engineering in free software environments".
Jordi has more than 10 years of experience in software development with a variety of companies: MENTA, Vodafone, Amena, Terra Networks, eresMas, InOut TV and Novell.
Jordi earned his bachelor degree in computer science at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and holds an Executive MBA from EADA business school.

Andreu Bartolí
Global Sales Director

Prior to joining Openbravo, Andreu was a Manager at Accenture specializing in Supply Chain Management, SAP implementations, and Services Management for Accenture Global Network (within the Supply Chain Center of Excellence framework). In 6 years there he acquired an international background working in Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium and UK. He started his career in the electronics and machine manufacturing industries working in both China and Spain.
Andreu graduated from Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He also holds a degree in Materials Engineering offered by The University of Lorraine (France) which included study abroad programs at the University of Saarland (Germany) and University of California, Los Angeles (USA).
