Q1-2020 Release: Microsoft Azure Officially Supported with Openbravo Cloud

2 min read

With the Q1-2020 release, Openbravo officially announces its support for Microsoft Azure, a new option for retailers moving to the cloud with Openbravo Cloud.

With this new option, retailers can now choose Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure as the public cloud infrastructure on which to deploy their Openbravo solution.

Microsoft Azure support for Openbravo Cloud comes with all the already existing features retailers enjoy in Amazon Web Services: management and continuous monitoring of the complete technology stack, infrastructure optimized for their specific needs, great RPO / RTO for disaster recovery scenarios, and much more.

The Azure Cloud offering is leveraged to keep Openbravo running efficiently and cost effectively. Openbravo takes advantage of the right Azure services like Azure Application Gateway to intelligently route application requests, Azure Blob Storage for storing backup and log data and also Openbravo generated documents and attachments thanks to a newly developed Blob Storage integration module.

What is Openbravo Cloud?

Openbravo Cloud is the official Openbravo cloud offering. It is a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) option that leverages leading cloud infrastructure providers to deploy Openbravo on virtual servers in a highly secure cloud installation that’s fully maintained, updated and monitored by Openbravo.

Thanks to Openbravo Cloud retailers can free themselves from the complexities and costs of managing hardware for their Openbravo solution, which can be scaled up or down based on growth or changing business needs. Additionally, Openbravo Cloud enables Openbravo to ensure the highest levels of security, availability, and performance.

And thanks for being a dedicated infrastructure, retailers can adapt and customize its Openbravo solution in the same way they do with a traditional on premise deployment, which, combined with 24/7 support for critical infrastructure incidents, helps to minimize risks in case of potential infrastructure problems.
