THREE-GENERATIONS HOME GOODS RETAILER GET MODERN UPGRADE

Now in its third generation, Sánchez Hipertextil is a chain of stores exclusively dedicated to the sale and manufacture of curtains and home lingerie. Presently, the company owns seven establishments distributed throughout the province of Barcelona. The stores offer customers a wide range of fabrics, designs and price ranges to choose from.

THE CHALLENGES

As part of a business upgrade, Sánchez Hipertextil needed to improve the efficiency of its operations, which was suffering from poor management in key processes such as inventory and cost control.

 

In addition, client-server technology underlying the corporate system posed significant limitations in terms of adapting to their industry-specific needs.

We improved efficiency in all operations and increased our agility in key processes such as launching new products, rates or promotions — which can now be defined and made available in all of our stores in a matter of hours.

Sánchez Hipertextil replaced its corporate system with the Openbravo Commerce Suite and adopted it as a complete all-in-one retail ERP system, based on its robust technology, flexibility, adaptability, and far-reaching functionality.

 

The solution offers support for store operations, eCommerce order management, sales, purchasing, production, warehousing, finance and reporting for monitoring and control of key business indicators.

Openbravo allowed the company to increase the efficiency of all operations and prepare stores for better customer service.

 

Tailored product orders can now be made from the actual point of sale and integrated directly with the manufacturing process, which reduces errors and the total delivery time. Online orders can also be processed faster thanks to a complete integration of the online store with back office processes.

 

Detailed stock control and the prioritization of faster-moving stores helped improve the replenishment process and ultimately reduced out-of-stock and overstock situations.

 

The company was also able to simplify and reduce the costs of the IT infrastructure and maintenance of the new corporate system.
