New Functional Features
Payment rounding
Payment rounding allows to define an automatic up/down rounding in payments made in the POS. Payment rounding is defined at touchpoint type level. Therefore, it is possible to configure for each payment method whether any rounding needs to take place or not.
Rounding will be triggered only when the total amount of a sale/return is paid and only if the payment method used is configured for it. In that case, a rounding payment will be automatically created if the amount is not multiple of the one defined for the touchpoint type and the payment method. Rounding will only affect the amount to pay. Therefore, tax calculation does not take into account any rounding but original amount.
Inventory count improvements
User experience improvements and new features such as the possibility of sharing an inventory count between several users. Shared counts are the ones that can be run by more than one user at the same time.
Collapsed inventory tasks
This new functionality adds the possibility to collapse tasks in the frontend when they have the same dimensions (product, source bin, destination bin, attributes…), so the warehouse associate can pick all of them in the same batch.
After collapsing a group of tasks the presented expected and confirmed quantities are the addition of the expected and confirmed quantities of the individual Tasks.
New Platform Features
StateController and SynchronizationBuffer using IndexedDB
Openbravo POS now includes a new component, called the SynchronizationBuffer, which handles the synchronization of transactional data, and the storage of this transactional data inside IndexedDB in offline. Furthermore, another new component, called StateController, which handles the state of the application, and stores it in IndexedDB as backup, has also been included.
