Barcelona Fashion Summit 2020: Consumers and Sustainability Lead the Way

On February 3, the eighth edition of the Barcelona Fashion Summit took place in Barcelona. This vanguard event for fashion professionals in Spain is organized annually by moda.es and this year, Openbravo was one of sponsors.

With access to a diversity of presentations and debates that centered around this year’s theme, “Objective: The Consumer,” the 800+ attendees were able to learn about the opinions and experiences of professionals and experts who spoke about the main challenges facing the industry today. Perhaps the most salient and recurring topic was sustainability, which is increasingly considered to be a consumer driver as buyers are becoming increasingly sensitive to the environment.

In short, it was a very interesting day which reaffirmed the growing power of the consumer, forcing brands to acquire a better knowledge of that power, and the ability to adapt to changes in their consumption habits with increasing speed and agility.

If you would like know more about my impressions and conclusions from the event, I invite you to read my post (in Spanish) on LinkedIn.

See you at the Barcelona Fashion Summit 2020!
