 Introduction
It's a pleasure to welcome you to the first Openbravo Vision of 2010!
2009 saw the launch of numerous successful initiatives, such as Openbravo ERP 2.50 Professional Subscription, Openbravo ERP Professional Subscription for Ubuntu and Openbravo QuickStart. All these initiatives add to our portfolio of solutions to meet the ERP needs of SME customers worldwide.
Openbravo World Conference, held in Barcelona, welcomed more than 200 visitors from 20 countries, ‘Empowering the Ecosystem' to collaborate towards continued success. Plus, we welcomed to the Board Jesper Balsar, the co-founder and former CEO of Navision, along with Bob Mann, a leader at operating global companies, as Board Chairman.
Openbravo Forge arrived on our doorsteps; a portal for the Openbravo Community to develop, share and download Openbravo solutions, and we have since reported in excess of a million and a half downloads of Openbravo ERP!. This is all the evidence we need to see how interest in Openbravo solutions has grown and continues to grow!
So what's new for 2010?
We are extremely proud of Openbravo Exchange, a strategic new initiative that revolutionizes the open source ERP arena by facilitating our partners to monetize their developments, and by providing an invaluable resource to enable business partners to assemble ‘best fit' solutions for their customers.
QuickStart Edition, launched last year to help SMEs go global, has since been improved in several areas, making it even easier to deploy (up and running in 2 weeks!) and easily adaptable to company growth, with minimum investment.
Initiatives such as these are proof of our commitment to spread integrated, web-based ERPs to everyone globally, from those wishing to get their own ERP, to those who will implement it for them.
It's a great year to be working with, and evolving with, Openbravo! Keep reading for information on how to get involved, through our range of educational tools, including our online certification offerings. We have something for everyone – from those with plenty of technical knowledge who will go on to develop with us, to those who simply want to understand the business benefits of acquiring an Openbravo ERP system!
