title Introduction

Manel Sarasa, CEO, Openbravo

Welcome to your latest issue of Openbravo Vision. Since the last issue, we have been getting even closer to our partners and ecosystem members at our extremely successful first Openbravo World Conference.

As you will know if you attended our presentations at OBWC '09, or have read our news, we are extremely excited about the release of Openbravo ERP 2.50. The introduction of modularity is a major step in enabling easier development of new features and functions to complement our core ERP - and of course there are also many other significant technical and usability enhancements to explore. Openbravo POS 2.30 also debuted as a Subscription Service, with further capabilities added for restaurants and retail, better integration with Openbravo ERP and more capabilities to read about below.

Talking of bringing our ecosystem closer and enabling easier development of functionality, have you heard about the launch of the new Openbravo Forge? It will prove a key step towards making development of all new projects easier and more communal for everybody involved.

The Forge will be perfectly complemented by the launch of our new Global Partner Program, which introduces a range of new benefits and services that will provide partners with all the tools they need to satisfy their customers' requirements and empower them to grow their own businesses.

All of these together show that the Openbravo ecosystem really is making huge strides, both in terms of our business and our technology. We are rapidly extending all our products and services in ways that will make our technology more accessible and empower the ecosystem even further.

These are genuinely exciting times to be working with Openbravo!
