Product Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a candidate with 5 years of product management experience with ERP solutions to own our portfolio of market-leading open source ERP products, with the drive to help us build and grow in a rapidly growing mid-market. This individual will own, drive and design existing and new products.
The ERP product manager will be responsible for defining future product enhancements to our Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) capabilities. Experience in product management with a company that develops ERP solutions is a must. Candidate should have a strong understanding of how businesses operate and how their finance, operations and HR functions interact with sales, marketing, and customer service/support.
This is an exciting career opportunity to make a significant impact. Your challenge will be to help develop the next generation of these products, and then identify new opportunities (such as vertical industries) that will take these flagship products to a new level of success. Position could be based in our Headquarter Offices located in Pamplona or in our Barcelona Office.
Responsibilities
The function of Product Manager has the following key areas of responsibility:
  • Determining and evaluating new opportunities to increase revenues and profits.
  • Define and write marketing requirements documents (MRD) and product requirements documents (PRD) for each release for use by development, QA & technical writing.
  • Identifying and prioritizing product enhancements that balance a favorable return on investment with customer needs.
  • Working with prospects, customers and partners to define product requirements and functionality.
  • Teaming with development, QA, technical writing and other product managers to build understanding of product requirements and steer the product through the engineering process
  • Identifying and driving partnerships for products.
  • Collaborating with various departments to ensure product delivery and quality goals are achieved and maintained.
  • Engaging in customer-facing activities such as customer conferences, customer visits and tradeshows.
  • Establishing the value proposition, positioning, pricing, and packaging for products to assist other areas of the organization in marketing and product delivery.
  • Building an in-depth knowledge of competitive software features and industry trends in the business management and ERP marketplace.
  • Developing solutions with other Product Managers in a collaborative manner.
  • Provide product information to meet a variety of internal and external needs including sales collateral, press releases, web site content and internal training.
Position requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of ERP products and the Open Source market space.
  • Experience in developing strategy and translating strategy into actionable product requirements and plans for product development.
  • Experience in building and launching an on-demand strategy for ERP, CRM or similar products
  • A solid understanding of the product development lifecycle and processes.
  • Excellent communication and cross functional teamwork skills.
  • A track record of successfully working with development, QA, and technical writing to deliver quality products.
  • Superior analytical, writing, verbal and time management skill.
  • Self starter with the ability to work in a very fast paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze problems and create solutions.
  • Ability to make recommendations and decisions independently.
  • Strong customer and business focus.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills.
  • Ability to prioritize.
