Developer
Position Overview
We are seeking recently graduated professionals coming mainly from Technical backgrounds with a strong interest in software and information technology to join our Product Development team and to work as Software Developers designing and developing enterprise level applications on the state-of-the-art technologies.
The ideal candidate will have experience in software development. ERP knowledge and experience will be a plus.
This is a key position that provides software engineers an excellent opportunity to acquire technical, functional and domain expertise on Openbravo’s product suite.
Position responsibilities
The function of Developer has some of the following key areas of responsibility:
- Design, document and develop new functionalities according to Openbravo's development roadmap
- Work close together to the Openbravo's Software Architects in the technical design of the system
- Analyze, evaluate and improve business related requirements of different functional areas
- Work closely with other members of the development, product and technology team
- Provide technical support when needed to our Global Partner Services team
- Support, troubleshoot and manage products and services
Position requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent with interest in software development.
- Working knowledge of programming concepts and experience in software development will be valued, specially the following technical knowledge:
- Knowledge of Java Platform and all tiers of an enterprise web application (Java, Javascript, XML, HTML, Tomcat, Ant, ...)
- Data Base Knowledge (SQL Language, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- Other tools: Hibernate, JDBC, Jasper Reports and Eclipse
- Good understanding of Rapid Application Development Methodologies and concepts (scrum, Extreme Programming, RUP) is an advantage
- Knowledge and/or experience in Enterprise management: organization, management activities and/or tools will be valued
- Good written and oral communications skills in English and Spanish
- Proven ability to meet/exceed deadlines
