Challenges
  • Managing diversity: 14 production centers working independently and with their own processes and systems.
  • Data homogenization: data cleaning, homogenization and migration from previous legacy systems and DB to OB.
  • HW infrastructure: although initially only 30 users would use OB, system landscape needed to be designed for > 100 users.
Solutions
  • Core processes modeling: core processes were modeled to provide an homogenous core that was implemented at the HQ and at 3 of the most important production centers.
  • Fully functional: supplying, warehousing, manufacturing, sales and economic-financial processes were implemented.
  • Integration: bar code readers, EDI and customer webs were integrated.
