Openbravo will help the Melilla Government bring the benefits of open source to SMEs

Openbravo has been selected among the existing open source ERP packages to be included in the upcoming melinux distribution (cd) for small and midsized enterprises.
Spain's Melilla region is a very strong supporter of open source technologies. The melinux distribution is an initiative of SoLiMe (Software Libre Melilla). It is part of the Digital Melilla Programme (Digital Cities) which aims to bring new technologies to citizens and facilitate adoption.
The program has created a complete open source distribution package providing an extensive catalog of programs with diverse functionalities for everyone: businesses, schools, individuals, etc.
We are very proud that Openbravo ERP has been chosen to be the enterprise management tool that will enable SMEs in Melilla improve their business effectiveness, thus confirming Openbravo as one of the most solid open source enterprise management solutions.
The agreement shows Openbravo's ability to help Public Administrations improve the productivity of enterprises in their regions. As governments take on an increasingly significant role in promoting and fostering information societies, the Melilla government has set itself apart as an innovative leader and has repeatedly showcased the positive results open source can deliver.
