LinuxWorld San Francisco, CA - (Booth 1515) - August 8, 2008 - Openbravo, the leading developer of web-based open source Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Point of Sale (PoS) solutions for enterprises, has been presented with a LinuxWorld.com Product Excellence Award for Openbravo Network 2.35.
The awards were presented in San Francisco this week to recognize product and service innovations. This is the second consecutive year Openbravo is awarded for 'Best Integration Solution'.
Aside from demonstrating the award winning Openbravo Network 2.35, the open source leader also unveiled the latest versions of its community products, Openbravo ERP 2.40 and Openbravo POS 2.10. Openbravo also presented a conference session in the Canonical area entitled, "Openbravo and Ubuntu - It's time to adopt an ERP that truly adapts to your needs" explaining how Openbravo is now entirely compatible with the Ubuntu environment.
"We have come a long way since the last edition of LinuxWorld San Francisco, and this year there was a marked interest relating to Openbravo products at the exhibition." mentioned Paolo Juvara. "Winning 'Best Integration Solution' for Openbravo Network is a great endorsement of our interoperability and supports the degree of excellence of the professional edition of our product."
"As a founding member of the Open Solutions Alliance, Openbravo makes interoperability a core design point for its projects" continued Paolo Juvara. "Openbravo Network, which is the result of a partnership between Openbravo and rParh, is a great example of how different open source technology layers can come together and offer their communities a business value that is greater than the sum of its parts. We plan to continue on this path going forward. Openbravo ERP 2.40 includes significant enhancements in our web services support and we plan to leverage this platform to build further integration with other products, including business intelligence, CRM and ecommerce solutions."
The Product Excellence Awards were announced through LinuxWorld.com and IDG World Expo. Openbravo Network 2.40, the commercial subscription service Openbravo offers to clients looking for professional support for a complete solution, is expected to be released in September.
