Openbravo Chief Operating Officer Appointed Board Director for the Open Solutions Alliance
Openbravo COO Josep Mitjà was last week appointed to the board of directors for the Open Solutions Alliance (OSA).
Openbravo is a founding member of the OSA, a non-profit, vendor-neutral consortium dedicated to the Open Source community and its development, launched in February 2007.
OSA board members were all chosen following a membership vote. The board is now responsible for representing the developing market for open solutions. Members must display strong leadership, representing the companies in the Alliance which cooperate to address the needs of the Open Source community.
In addition to the announcement of its board members, the OSA has unveiled an interoperability roadmap.
Josep Mitjà said: “I am extremely proud to have been elected as a founding board member for the Open Solutions Alliance. A vendor-neutral, representative board for the OSA coupled with the important new interoperability roadmap serves to underline the unwavering commitment that the Open Source community has to the future development and progression of Open Source solutions.”
