Miami, Florida - May 6, 2008 - Openbravo, the leading developer of web-based open source Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Point of Sale (PoS) solutions for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), has announced its first American 'Get Together' event for all Openbravo community members, including individuals and communities that want to learn more about the company and its award-winning products.
The Miami event (June 21-22) is the first dedicated Openbravo community event to be held in the United States and is in response to the interest and opportunities within the North and South American markets. The event will consist of two half-day seminars, led by key members of the Openbravo team covering the business and technology of Openbravo, followed by peer networking to ensure that attendees discuss ideas, share experiences and knowledge, and spend time with the Openbravo team to ask for advice on how to build and maintain a business based on Openbravo's market-leading solutions. A full itinerary for the event can be found on the Openbravo website.
Manel Sarasa, CEO of Openbravo, said, "This new-format of the Openbravo Get Together is interactive to ensure that our community members not only spend time learning about Openbravo's vision, business, products and capabilities from Openbravo's own specialists, but share experiences and ideas with their peers. We are a collaborative company and enjoy facilitating these valuable and vital information exchanges. Miami promises to be an exciting event that opens up a whole new chapter in Openbravo's history as the growing Openbravo community in America has the first chance to come to a dedicated Openbravo event and to witness the excitement, experience and opportunities around our software."
Individuals, entrepreneurs and open source enthusiasts can register online at www.openbravo.com/php/mail/form-get-together2008.php. The event is free, but it is limited to the capacity of the location. The core event is to be held in the midst of training sessions, which run from June 9 to June 29.
Training sessions can be booked via training@openbravo.com or be bought at the Openbravo e-shop.
