LinuxWorld – San Francisco, CA – Booth #1515 – August 4-7, 2008 - Openbravo, the leading developer of web-based open source Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Point of Sale (PoS) solutions for small and medium enterprises, has extended its Openbravo Network family of products specifically for small and medium businesses and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs).
Openbravo Network is a subscription service based on Openbravo’s leading open source ERP product. It bundles access to certified updates and upgrades, and a bug fixing guarantee to ensure the user is always up-to-date. Joining the already released Openbravo SME Network One, the new additions to the Openbravo Network family of products include Openbravo OEM Network and Openbravo Base Network.
Openbravo ERP makes it easy for SMEs to have an integrated system that can be easily customized to manage all their operations including procurement, inventory, production, sales, and projects all the way to accounting and finances.
Openbravo SME Netwok One, available since the beginning of the year, is specifically designed for companies that look for a complete solution in a box, including the full technology stack for Openbravo ERP with the operating system, database and application server in a fine tuned environment. This Openbravo Network edition embeds an administration console to simplify the management of the system, such as receiving updates or scheduling backups.
Flexibility is key to the updated Openbravo Network offering, allowing SMEs to have more choices for support, with different tiers to fit customers’ individual needs and environments.
Openbravo Base Network provides the same level of support for organizations that only need Openbravo ERP and want more flexibility to deploy the solution in an environment adapted to their needs. Customers can now deploy it as they require and take advantage of the certified updates and upgrades provided by the Openbravo team.
Openbravo OEM Network is tailored for independent software vendors (ISVs) that want to build commercial offerings on top of Openbravo’s ERP software. Openbravo provides a custom edition, built by Openbravo for each individual ISV’s business use and support requirements, to ensure a perfect fit for each vendor’s needs.
Josep Mitjà, Chief Operating Officer of Openbravo, said, "We extended our Openbravo Network family of products because we saw a demand from our community for more specialized offerings. The Openbravo Network family of products gives organizations an easy, affordable option to purchase professional support for their open source ERP system, whether they want to use in their enterprises or build additional software and services on top of it. With these additions, our goal is to give our users even more options and support. The Openbravo Network family of products are built on top of our popular open source solution Openbravo ERP and are available for Oracle and PostgreSQL databases as well as a multitude of operating systems, including popular Linux Distributions and Microsoft Windows."
Openbravo Network is sold through Openbravo’s partner Network. More information can be found at www.openbravo.com/network. A live demo at LinuxWorld San Francisco is available at Openbravo’s booth, #1515.
