Manel Sarasa
Manel is leading Openbravo to fulfill its vision and extend the adoption of Openbravo ERP to all small and midsize companies through an innovative open source business model. To this end Manel is responsible for corporate strategy, general management, and international expansion.
Manel comes to Openbravo after seven years with DiamondCluster International (now Oliver Wyman) where, as a Senior Principal, he led a successful launch of eight businesses in various countries and consulted leading telecom players in the areas of strategy, marketing & sales, customer service and overall turnaround programs. Prior to DiamondCluster, Manel worked at Andersen Consulting (Accenture).
Manel has a BS in Engineering and Industrial Organization from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and did his postgraduate studies at London School of Economics.

Paolo Juvara
Chief Technology Officer
Paolo Juvara
Paolo leads Openbravo's ERP product development organization. In this capacity, he coordinates with the Openbravo community to define the product roadmap and is responsible for its execution, driving all product development projects in the ERP and POS space.
Prior to joining Openbravo, Paolo was based in Redwood Shores, California, working for Oracle Corporation for over fourteen years in applications development. Most recently he was a Senior Director leading the development of the Service product line. He also held a broad range of development and management roles within Oracle's Applications business, including positions in the Financials, Supply Chain Management, CRM and Business Intelligence development teams. Paolo also worked in Paris, France, as part of Oracle's Globalization team.
Originally Italian, Paolo graduated from Politecnico di Milano with a degree in Electronic Engineering and a specialization in Software Engineering.

Josep Mitjà

Josep Mitja
Josep is in charge of Openbravo's Product Strategy and Business Development unit. Among many activities in Josep’s wide range of responsibilities, he leads the definition and execution of the product strategy and marketing approach, drives business development activities, builds corporate alliances and is in charge of defining the international growth model, Openbravo’s web presence, as well as Openbravo’s marketing & communication initiatives and IT & Systems department. Lastly, Josep is also an Openbravo Board member and a Board member of the Open Solutions Alliance (OSA), which Openbravo co-founded.
Prior to joining Openbravo, Josep was a principal with DiamondCluster International (now Oliver Wyman), where he worked in more than 10 countries across 3 continents advising senior executives in the high tech industry. In the start of his career, he worked for BASF in Germany and Spain.
Josep holds an MBA from IESE in Barcelona, and from MIT Sloan School of Management in Boston. Previously he graduated in Telecommunications Engineering in the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC).
Josep also serves on the board on the Open Solutions Alliance, an international organization that aims to promote the use of open source in the enterprise and facilitate the interoperability among the leading open solutions.

Marco de Vries

Marco de Vries
Marco, a Dutch national living outside the Netherlands for over a decade, has been involved in technology and software firms in both CFO and COO role since 2000. In his role as CFO for Openbravo he is responsible for fundraising, finance, accounting, human resources and legal affairs.
Prior to Openbravo, Marco was a key executive for GEC, the leading Spanish integrated solutions provider in the e-learning and corporate learning space. He played an important role in rapidly scaling up the business and its resulting growth to market leadership as well as in the road to profitability of the Company.
Marco has also worked seven years as a management consultant for top-tier consulting firms A.T. Kearney and DiamondCluster International (now Oliver Wyman) where he was involved in the launch of various mobile telephony businesses throughout Europe.
Marco holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Erasmus University (Rotterdam, Netherlands) and a CEMS-Master from an exchange with the École des Hautes Etudes Comerciales (Paris, France).

Cees Poortman
VP of Global Commercial Operations
Cees Poortman
Cees is responsible for the global partner ecosystem and the international subsidiaries. As Vice President of Global Commercial Operations, Cees is in charge of defining the company's global channel strategy, attracting and developing the very best partner network as well as defining key growth initiatives in developed and emerging markets.
Cees has 20 years of experience in the ERP industry, mostly in defining international go-to-market strategies, setting up subsidiaries and building channels for international software vendors like Navision and Microsoft.
Prior to joining Openbravo Cees was Managing Director of Navision Netherlands, Director for Microsoft Business Solutions and most recently responsible for defining the go-to-market strategy for Microsoft Dynamics Entrepreneur.
Cees holds a MBA from Nijenrode Business University in the Netherlands as well as a MBA from the Simon Graduate School of Business of the University of Rochester in New York state, USA.

Eugeni Vives
VP of Global Partner Services
Eugeni Vives
Eugeni is in charge of Openbravo's Services Operations targeted at our network of Partners. Services are offered across the globe and include training, support, custom development, and consulting. The latter is primarily focused at leading development of processes, methodologies, tools and best practices to enable Openbravo partners to optimize implementation projects and build a differential, sustainable and profitable business model around Openbravo.
He has almost 15 years of experience in IT Consulting and ERP implementation projects. He joined Openbravo from everis (formerly DMR Consulting), where he served most recently as Senior Manager, responsible for the ERP Business Unit in Barcelona, leading a team of over 50 consultants. Earlier in his career he worked for Capgemini, where he served three years as SAP Project Manager and Senior Consultant.
Eugeni holds a BS in Telecommunication Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, in Barcelona, Spain. He also holds a double SAP Application Certification.

Ismael Ciordia

Ismael Ciordia
Ismael Ciordia leads the engineering team with a special focus on platform development. He is responsible for defining the technology and architecture of the Openbravo products with the aim to make those the best available solutions for end-users.
Ismael is one of the Founders in 2001 of Tecnicia (as Openbravo was called at that time). Prior to that, he worked for the University of Navarra as a software engineer, leading development projects. In his "spare time", he is a lecturer of Software Engineering at the Engineering School of San Sebastián.
Ismael has a BS in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad del Pais Vasco (UPV) and is a PhD Engineering candidate at the University of Navarra.

Andreu Bartolí

Andreu Bartolí
Andreu Bartolí is currently leading the Sales organization within Openbravo, playing an important role in building and managing the Openbravo global sales force. To this end Andreu is responsible for acquiring and developing best in class partners to cover the large demand that today exists around Openbravo products. Likewise, Andreu leads the management of the team that deals with direct client demands.
Prior to joining Openbravo, Andreu was a Manager at Accenture specializing in Supply Chain Management, SAP implementations, and Services Management for Accenture Global Network (within the Supply Chain Center of Excellence framework). In 6 years there he acquired an international background working in Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium and UK. He started his career in the electronics and machine manufacturing industries working in both China and Spain.
Andreu graduated from Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He also holds a degree in Materials Engineering offered by The University of Lorraine (France) which included study abroad programs at the University of Saarland (Germany) and University of California, Los Angeles (USA).

Jordi Mas
Director of Community Development
Jordi Mas
Jordi brings to Openbravo a wealth of knowledge and experience in all matters related to open source.
He has been a free software contributor since 2002 when he started collaborating with the Abiword open source project. Nowadays, he is an active contributor to GNOME, Abiword and Mono. He has written many articles about technology as well as two books: "Free Software: technically viable, economically sustainable, socially just" and "Free Software and enterprise in Catalonia. Success cases". He also co-authored the book "Software engineering in free software environments".
Jordi has more than 10 years of experience in software development with a variety of companies: MENTA, Vodafone, Amena, Terra Networks, eresMas, InOut TV and Novell.
Jordi earned his bachelor degree in computer science at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and holds an Executive MBA from EADA business school.

Moncho Aguinaga

Moncho Aguinaga
Moncho Aguinaga is one of Tecnicia's founding partners and currently he is a Sales Director focusing on building and expanding Openbravo’s network of partners by helping our partners become successful in growing a business around Openbravo. His main focus is on the Spanish market. He is also actively involved in the definition and implementation of sales strategies.
Prior to coming to Openbravo, Moncho was an external consultant, specializing in innovative technologies. For the last seven years, Moncho has been a professor of Information Systems at the University of Navarra, collaborating with IESE.
Moncho has a BA in Business and Management from the University of Navarra.

Nicolás Serrano
Product Architect & Co-Founder
Nicolas Serrano
Nicolás Serrano was a co-founder of Tecnicia and leads Openbravo's technological strategy. He is focused on the analysis and development of new features and functionalities as well as the continual development of architectural design of Openbravo with the aim of making it the best choice for our partners and customers.
Previous to launching Tecnicia in 2001, Nicolás worked two decades in IT. He worked on important IT projects for businesses and organizations and, even now, continues to pass on his wisdom as lecturer at the University of Navarra.
Nicolás received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Navarra and an MBA from Deusto in San Sebastian.
