Release Engineer
Position Overview
Our Product Development team, currently based in Pamplona, Spain, has delivered and will continue to deliver exceptional results by expanding all existing areas with responsibilities' in Development, Architecture, Usability, Documentation and QA. Having multiplied by three our team and with the challenges ahead we are now looking for a Release Engineer.
Responsibilities
The Release Engineer function has the following key areas of responsibility:
  • Continuous improvement of Release processes, methodologies and tools to ensure best quality for both Openbravo product lines: Community Edition and Professional Edition.
  • Track and support the whole Release cycle, coordinating teams involved in the Release processes: engineering, QA, Beta Testers and Community. Keep people informed about status, contents, dates, etc.
  • Support Senior Management to define the guidelines of whole release product strategy.
Position requirements
  • BS/BA in Computer Science or related engineering discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Release Manager in a similar environment (J2EE web based application, persistence in a relational database, ant as a build tool, subversion).
  • Technology background and/or field experience, specially in J2EE web based environments and development tools like Ant, Subversion and Maven CruiseControl.
  • Results oriented team player with willingness and motivation to grow professionally in a very entrepreneurial project.
  • Good communication skills: English is a must, Spanish will be highly valued.
  • High level of professionalism.
