Product Development Director
Position Overview
We are currently looking for an experienced software development director with a proven track record of success in the enterprise software space to help us build a world-class development organization and accelerate the delivery of our vision for the future of the ERP market. This newly created role could be based in Pamplona or Barcelona (Spain).
Position responsibilities
The function of Product Development Director has the following key areas of responsibility:
- Hire, motivate and manage the ERP development team, made of engineers, product managers and QA professionals
- Define and evangelize development best-practices within the company
- Work with senior management to define the product road map
- Develop release plans and supervise the delivery of those plans, from project inception, to functional specification, technical design, build and test
- Support an atmosphere of innovation and promotion of professional growth for the team
Position requirements
- Possess B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or related/equivalent field
- Possess previous experience managing software development teams
- Demonstrate significant domain expertise in the business area of development
- Serve as expert in the implementation of project management concepts
- Deliver consistently projects on time and with a high degree of quality
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of product development processes
- Possess outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Functional knowledge of ERP as well as web-based technologies and development tools is a plus
