Support Manager
Position Overview
Openbravo strives to ensure that the implementation and use of Openbravo products results in a simple and satisfactory experience for our clients, and in a profitable business for our implementation partners around the globe. In order to do this, we offer a portfolio of global services designed to fit the needs of our partners.
To further strengthen our Global Partner Services delivery we are currently seeking a talented professional to join us in our Pamplona office. First of all he/she will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Support team. This position involves active participation to prepare the area to meet the goals of the business plan and increase the quality of services delivered, through the implementation of the right processes and mindset in the organization, as well as through the build-up of the right team of professionals. Depending on their personal development, he/she will assume other areas of the Global Partner Services unit such as Consulting, Training or Custom Development.
Position responsibilities
The function of Support Manager has the following key areas of responsibility:
  • Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes, along with possible solutions
  • Generate organizational improvements that will enhance success; develop best-in-class operations standards; coach and motivate the team to produce outstanding results and achievements
  • Motivate team to work together in the most efficient manner
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide input on support services
  • Organize teams to ensure correct resources are working on the problem
  • Ensure clear ownership of problem determination / resolution
  • Ensure completeness of problem analysis / impact analysis
  • Communicate effectively with partners and customers to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
  • Provide technical leadership for problem solving
  • Encourage more junior supporters to take responsibility for their development within the company
  • Oversee and manage internal projects and workflow of the area
  • Manage all human resources related activities: hiring of staff; policies compliance and employee evaluations
  • Other duties as assigned
Position requirements
  • BS/MS in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Programming and ERP’s applications knowledge, especially SMB market leaders (MS Navision, MS Axapta, SAP Business One, Sage, etc.) desired
  • 5+ years of supporting experience working in software implementation projects
  • A problem solver, able to challenge and question. Able to identify, develop and present process improvements
  • Ability to oversee project delivery and ensure healthy client relationships
  • Results-driven, proven trajectory of continuously meeting and exceeding business objectives
  • Effective people management and motivational leadership
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and oral English is a must; Spanish knowledge will be highly valued as well as other languages)
