ERP Engineers and Support Engineers
Position Overview
We are seeking ERP engineers and Support Engineers, with 1/4 years of relevant experience, to join our Global Partner Services organization, providing technical consultancy, development and support services to our partners and customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in object-oriented languages and with previous ERP experience. This is a key position that provides software engineers an excellent opportunity to acquire technical, functional and domain expertise on Openbravo’s product suite.
Position responsibilities
These functions have the following key areas of responsibility:
- Participate in ERP implementation project’s delivery, taking ownership of the following:
- Customization
- Analyze new developments
- Plan, Design & Program
- New functionality, extensions and enhancements
- Integrations
- Reporting
- Printing forms
- Testing
- Technical training
- Documentation
- Provide technical support (Second Level Support) and services to our international network of partners and customers, as well as troubleshoot the reported issues and communicate with partners and customers via phone, email or other means on an as-needed basis
Position requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
- 1/4 years relevant experience in software development or customer support roles and (at least some of the following):
- Working knowledge of programming concepts including MVC architecture
- Knowledge of Java Platform and all tiers of an enterprise web application
- Java programming (servlets is a plus)
- User interface: XML, HTML, Javascript (Ajax is a plus)
- Data Base Knowledge:
- SQL Language
- PostgreSQL, Oracle
- Hibernate, JDBC
- Other tools: Jasper Reports and Eclipse
- Good understanding of Rapid Application Development Methodologies and concepts (scrum, Extreme Programming, RUP) is an advantage
- Good written and oral communications skills in English and Spanish are a must
- Proven ability to meet/exceed deadlines
- Analytical thinking & Detail oriented
- Good organizational skills
