Senior Consultant
Position Overview
To further strengthen our Consulting function we are currently seeking a talented Senior Consultant. Consulting Unit supports Openbravo’s project delivery to our international customer and partner network, and participates also actively on commercial activities, both in an international environment (national and international travel availability is required). The candidate will play a key role in project delivery and commercial activities, and will also participate in the management of Consulting Unit activities as well.
The candidate will report to a Consulting Manager/Director and will be based preferably in Barcelona.
Position responsibilities
The function of a Senior Consultant has the following key areas of responsibility:
- Participate / Lead ERP project delivery involving:
- Business processes definition and GAP/Fit analysis
- Customization
- Documentation
- Team and Customer management
- Manage Consulting Projects including all dimensions:
- Project planning
- Risks management
- Economic follow-up
- Refine and apply partner activation best practices, to achieve timely and consistent new partner competence, profitability, and revenue growth.
- Participate in people management processes such as team evaluation and mentoring of other consultants
- Participate in sales management activities like:
- Collaborate in (or lead) proposals preparation
- Collaborate in (or lead) customer demonstrations preparation
Position requirements
- BS/MS in Engineering or Computer Science
- 3+ years proven consulting experience as project or team leader for medium-to-large business software implementation projects. Hands-on experience leading the business process analysis and design phases is required.
- 3+ years proven experience with ERP applications:
- Participation or leadership in ERP projects, especially SMB market leaders (MS Navision, MS Axapta, SAP Business One, Sage, etc.) desired
- ERP Implementation methodologies knowledge
- Results-oriented team player with willingness and motivation to grow professionally in a very entrepreneurial project with a high-potential.
- Solid communication & presentation skills (written and oral Spanish-English is a must)
- Service oriented
- Strong project management and project delivery skills
- Good web-based architectures and programming knowledge as well as solutions design
- Leadership, initiative, flexibility and adaptability
