InfoWorld Bossie Awards 2011
Openbravo was honored for the fourth time as one of the Best of Open Source Applications in IDG's 2011 InfoWorld Best of Open Source Software (Bossie) Awards.
Infoworld said, "Openbravo rides Version 3 to a repeat Bossie Award. With the new version, the company has done a nice job of cleaning up the user interface and workspaces. Data sources and app hooks are more seamlessly connected, vastly improving ramp-up time. A more modular framework for plugging in sales, finance, warehouse, and purchasing functionality paves the way for faster adoption of these functions as future requirements demand. You'll find good tools for plugging in users, too, thanks to role-based access controls and custom dashboards. And finally, a variety of deployment paths (including the Amazon cloud) make it that much easier to get started. With the recent opening of offices stateside (San Francisco), Openbravo has helped allay concerns regarding support and sustainability going forward".

Infoworld said, "Openbravo impresses with a well-developed POS (point-of-sale) solution, procurement and warehouse management tools, financial and accounting features, and production logistics for shop floor oversight. Further, Openbravo's plug-in architecture offers the same sort of extensive modularity found in SugarCRM and traditional commercial applications from the likes of SAP and Oracle. That means your developers can extend system functionality without worrying about stepping on core functionality. And the entire Openbravo system is supported by a healthy set of alerts, role-based user provisioning and access control, and a good Web-based UI." - Infoworld
